How to Accept Metricfixer Google Ads MCC Access Request
Learn how to give Metricfixer access to your Google Ads account through a manager account request by sending your Customer ID and accepting the request by email or in Google Ads Managers.
Category: Access Sharing Guides
Use this guide when Metricfixer needs access to your Google Ads account through the Metricfixer Google Ads Manager Account, also known as MCC. This method lets us request access from our side after you send us your Google Ads Customer ID.
Important: Please do not send us your Google password, recovery codes, billing login, credit card details, or personal Google account credentials. Metricfixer does not need your password to access Google Ads through a manager account request.
When to use this guide
Use this instruction if Metricfixer asks you to connect your Google Ads account to our manager account for diagnostics, conversion tracking, campaign review, technical fixes, or advertising support.
Step 1. Send us your Google Ads Customer ID
Open your Google Ads account and copy the Customer ID of the advertising account that needs support. The Customer ID is usually shown in the top area of Google Ads and looks like this:
123-456-7890
Send this number to Metricfixer in your support ticket. Please make sure it is the Customer ID of the exact account where the issue exists. If you manage several Google Ads accounts, check that you are not sending the ID of a different account or a manager account by mistake.
Step 2. Wait for the Metricfixer link request
After we receive your Customer ID, we will send a link request from the Metricfixer Google Ads Manager Account. Google may notify users with access to your Google Ads account by email, and the same request should also appear inside Google Ads.
Option A. Accept the request from the email notification
- Open the email notification from Google Ads about a manager account link request.
- Check that the request is related to Metricfixer or the manager account name we provided in your ticket.
- Click the action button or link in the email.
- Sign in to the correct Google account, if Google asks you to sign in.
- Review the manager account request.
- Accept the request if the manager account name matches the information from Metricfixer.
Security check: Do not accept manager requests from unknown companies or people. If the manager account name does not match Metricfixer or the name we confirmed in your ticket, contact us before accepting it.
Option B. Accept the request inside Google Ads
- Sign in to the Google Ads account that needs support.
- Open the Admin section.
- Go to Access and security.
- Open the Managers tab.
- Find the pending link request from Metricfixer.
- Review the manager account name and details.
- Click Accept.
In some Google Ads interfaces, the pending request may be shown under a Link request area. If the interface looks different in your account, look for manager account requests inside Access and security or contact us with a screenshot.
What access level should be used
For most support tasks, Metricfixer needs enough access to inspect settings, diagnose conversion tracking, review campaigns, and make approved changes. The exact level depends on the ticket scope.
- Read-only: suitable for audits, diagnostics, screenshots, and review-only tasks.
- Standard: suitable for most implementation and optimization tasks where approved changes may be needed.
- Admin: only if the agreed task requires actions that cannot be performed with a lower access level.
- Billing access: not required for normal Metricfixer support unless the ticket is specifically about billing or invoicing settings.
What not to share
- Your Google account password.
- Two-factor authentication codes or backup codes.
- Personal Gmail access.
- Credit card details or payment method credentials.
- Google Workspace admin access, unless the task explicitly requires it.
- Access to unrelated Google Ads accounts.
- Unnecessary customer lists, CRM exports, or personal data.
If you cannot find the request
If you do not see the request, please check the following:
- You are signed in to the correct Google account.
- You are viewing the correct Google Ads Customer ID.
- Your user has sufficient permission to approve manager account link requests.
- The Customer ID you sent to Metricfixer is correct.
- The request has not expired, been declined, or already been accepted by another account user.
If the request is still missing, send us a screenshot of your Access and security → Managers section, hiding any unrelated confidential information.
After the request is accepted
Reply in your Metricfixer ticket and confirm that the request has been accepted. We will then check access from our manager account and continue with the agreed diagnostics or implementation work.
How to remove Metricfixer access later
After the support ticket is completed, you can remove the manager account link at any time from Google Ads:
- Sign in to the Google Ads account.
- Open Admin.
- Go to Access and security.
- Open the Managers tab.
- Find the Metricfixer manager account.
- Remove or unlink it if ongoing support access is no longer needed.
Tip: If Metricfixer only needed temporary access for a completed ticket, we recommend removing access or reducing it after completion.
