How to Give Metricfixer Safe Google Business Profile Access
Learn how to invite Metricfixer to your Google Business Profile safely, choose the right Owner or Manager access level, and keep Primary Owner control with your company.
Category: Access Sharing Guides
This guide explains how to give Metricfixer access to your Google Business Profile, formerly known as Google My Business, without sharing your personal Google password or transferring primary ownership of your business profile.
Important: please invite Metricfixer as a separate user. Do not send us your Google account password, recovery codes, two-factor authentication codes, or personal login credentials.
When to use this guide
Use this instruction when Metricfixer needs access to your Google Business Profile to review or adjust local business settings, profile information, links, photos, posts, performance data, Google Ads links, or other profile-related settings.
Recommended access level
For most tasks related to advertising setup, local profile configuration, linked Google Ads workflows, and full profile diagnostics, Metricfixer usually needs the Owner access level.
You should not worry about this in normal support scenarios: Primary Owner remains with you. Adding Metricfixer as an Owner does not automatically transfer primary ownership of the Business Profile.
Google Business Profile supports multiple owners, but only one Primary Owner. Primary ownership should stay with your company or internal business account.
Before you start
- Make sure you are signed in to the Google account that owns or manages the Business Profile.
- Open the correct business profile, especially if you manage multiple locations.
- Confirm the Metricfixer email address in your support ticket before sending the invitation.
- Do not invite a personal employee account unless Metricfixer specifically confirms it for your ticket.
Step-by-step: invite Metricfixer to your Google Business Profile
- Open Google Search while signed in to the Google account that manages your Business Profile.
- Search for your business name, or open your profile from the Google Business Profile manager.
- In the profile management panel, select the three-dot menu.
- Select Business Profile settings.
- Open People and access.
- Select Add or Add user.
- Enter the Metricfixer email address provided in your ticket.
- Choose Owner if Metricfixer needs to configure advertising-related profile links, manage access-related profile settings, or perform full diagnostics.
- Choose Manager only if the task is limited to basic profile updates and does not require owner-level settings.
- Select Invite.
- Reply in your Metricfixer ticket and confirm that the invitation has been sent.
Why Owner access may be required
Some Google Business Profile tasks require more than basic editing rights. For example, advertising setup, Google Ads-related links, access troubleshooting, verification-related checks, and profile administration may require Owner-level permissions.
Metricfixer does not ask you to transfer Primary Owner access. Your company should remain the Primary Owner of the profile.
What not to provide
- Do not send your Google account password.
- Do not send two-factor authentication codes or backup codes.
- Do not transfer Primary Owner access unless a separate written agreement explicitly requires it.
- Do not share billing credentials or payment card details.
- Do not invite unrelated personal accounts.
- Do not provide access to other Google products unless the task specifically requires it.
If you cannot find People and access
Google sometimes changes the Business Profile interface. If you do not see the same menu, try this path:
- Open Google Search while signed in.
- Search for your business name.
- Click the three-dot menu in the Business Profile management panel.
- Open Business Profile settings.
- Open People and access.
If you still cannot find it, send us a screenshot of the visible menu in your ticket, without exposing private information.
After the work is completed
After the ticket is completed, you can remove Metricfixer from the Business Profile:
- Open your Business Profile.
- Go to Business Profile settings.
- Open People and access.
- Select the Metricfixer user.
- Choose Remove person or reduce the role if ongoing support is still required.
Safe default: keep Primary Owner access under your company account, invite Metricfixer only for the duration of the support task, and remove or reduce access after completion.
